About the School
La Escuela Magenta is a mobile school without a fixed location with a nomadic spirit. We approach you to offer you courses. We are dedicated to promoting audiovisual expression through our courses. We always try to facilitate collaboration and creative encounters between people. Our training is aimed at adults who want to learn to express themselves creatively with audiovisual technologies.
The idea of La Escuela Magenta was born in Helsinki, Finland where Lu Priace Michavila lived for 6 years and fell in love with Finnish pedagogical methods. Learning through play, a taste for exploration, innovation, experimentation and constant learning throughout life inspired Lu Priace Michavila to return to Spain and found La Escuela Magenta in 2023.
What do we do?
We offer in-person courses for groups or individuals. Our courses are in audiovisual expression so that you learn to make your own audiovisual projects such as videos and music made with a computer. We do not have a fixed headquarters but we offer courses in different places renting rooms to be able to get closer to you.
We are especially dedicated to Caatalonia and The Valencian Community but we can also visit other national and international places. Our teaching mode is hybrid since we accompany in-person teaching with digital resources such as digital books and video tutorials to help you in your learning process.
WHO ARE WE?
Lu Priace Michavila
Founder and teacher of the Escuela Magenta in 2023, with more than 10 years of experience in the audiovisual world and electronic music.
Curious and an explorer, he has traveled many places in the world and lived for more than 17 years between Finland and the United Kingdom. In Helsinki he has given audiovisual production and electronic music workshops in adult schools.

- BSc in Audio and Music technology from the University of the West of England in Bristol, UK. 2007-2011
- Co-founder of the sound company for audiovisuals "Magnetic Giraffe" together with Bill Cargill. - 2012 onwards/li>
- Producer in the non-profit audiovisual organization "Cortoformo" 2015-2017
- I have taken university courses in Finnish pedagogy at Jyväskylä University. 2020-2021
- Master's degree in educational psychology at the UOC, University of Catalonia. 2022-2024
